BEGINNER

Beginner class builds the foundation for high quality practice of both taichi and qigong. The primary goal of beginner class is that you understand the basic stances and movements of tai chi and qigong, and build a solid foundation for future practice in the intermediate and advanced classes.

Beginner students receive professional step by step training to learn tai chi and qigong movements. Your balance, flexibility, strength and coordination will improve. Your breath, thoughts and mental state relax, stress reduces and mind-body connection begins. Best of all your body will love our class and after a relatively short period of practice, body will change, health will improve, and individual health issues begin to decrease.

SUITABLE FOR ALL AGE AND FITNESS LEVELS.

Intermediate

Wulong's Intermediate program continues from the foundations learnt as a beginner. You will usually progress to this level within 1 to 2 years, becoming more proficient in taichi and qigong.

Intermediate students continue tai chi and qigong skills development, working towards more advanced routines in both taichi and qigong, including tai chi martial applications, use of weaponry, and greater proficiency of qigong. You will consolidate physical mobility, mental relaxation, increased power of concentration, endurance, control, knowledge and quality of routines. Intermediate tai chi brings a higher level of enjoyment, personal satisfaction, overall health, and greater mind and body integration.

SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS COMPLETED THE BEGINNERS PROGRAM, ALL AGE AND FITNESS LEVELS

NOTE: Intermediate classes are run in combination with Beginner class. Some parts of the combined class - warm up and foundation exercises - are run together. Then Beginner and Intermediate separate to learn different tai chi and qigong materials. There are benefits for beginners training in the same environment as more knowledgeable students - Beginners can improve faster in this environment, and Intermediate students benefit from review, from increasing clarity, and consolidate their own knowledge while assisting new students.

ADVANCED

Advanced class is our taichi and qigong Instructor training class. Admission is by invitation only.

Please contact Professor Sun about this class.

Online classes

Our highly successful online classes run via Zoom.us Online classes are suitable for students who live further away, have health issues that make it difficult to participate in person classes, or who experience time pressures.

Online class follows the usual tai chi and qigong class program incorporating warm up, foundation training, improving your flexibility, strength, balance, mental health and immune system. However online classes run a little different to in person classes, the tai chi and qigong content and teaching is altered to suit less room to move about and the small size of screens. Nevertheless, the curriculum is just as comprehensive as in person class, and online class can be especially beneficial to understand some finer details demonstrated.
